‘Free Care for Your Hair’ Offers Services to Flint Students

For immediate release: July 15, 2019

FLINT, Mich. – Students in the Flint school district between the ages of 7 to 17 will have the opportunity to receive free care for their hair at the Creative Hair School of Cosmetology, Monday, Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Additionally, participating students at the event will receive a school supply donation. 

“Since February 2016, we launched Free Care for Your Hairto provide free services to Flint residents affected by the water crisis,” said Quintin Carouthers, school director. “This year, we wanted to encourage proper hair maintenance among students as they prepare to head back to school.”

Hair care services include: shampoo and conditioner, flat iron, curls, silk press, flat twist and two-strand twist.

Licensed hair stylists who wish to volunteer at Free Care for Your Hairand individuals who wish to donate school supplies or a financial contribution, may contact Quintin Carouthers at 810-787-4247, option 3.
